Use the matching current LTA ERP rate for your vehicle, gantry and time slot.
Enter the actual current ERP charge(s) for each gantry on your route. Rates vary by gantry, time and vehicle type and can be revised by LTA.
Disclaimer: Estimate only; ERP rates vary by gantry, time and vehicle type and may change after LTA reviews, so verify current rates on OneMotoring.
What Is an ERP Calculator Singapore?
An ERP Calculator Singapore helps drivers add the Electronic Road Pricing charges that apply to their route.
Select your vehicle type and enter the current charge for every ERP gantry you expect to pass. The calculator adds the amounts and shows:
- Estimated total ERP charge
- Number of charged gantries entered
The tool does not automatically identify your route, gantries or current rates. You must first check the applicable rates for your vehicle and travelling time.
How to Use the ERP Calculator
Start by selecting your vehicle type.
Check which ERP gantries your journey passes and find the current rate for each gantry. The applicable amount can depend on the road, direction, vehicle type, date and time.
Enter the charges in the available fields:
- Add the first ERP charge.
- Add up to three additional charges where required.
- Leave unused fields empty.
- Select Calculate ERP.
The calculator will add the entered charges. Use Reset before checking another journey.
Check the Current ERP Rate Before Calculating
ERP rates can change after traffic-condition reviews. Temporary rates may also apply during certain school-holiday periods.
Always check the current rate on the Land Transport Authority’s official OneMotoring ERP page before entering an amount.
As of 8 August 2026, OneMotoring publishes the rate schedule effective from 29 June 2026. Check the official page again if you are planning a later journey.
Do not rely on an old screenshot or rate table because a previously correct charge may have changed.
Example of an ERP Cost Calculation
Suppose your route passes three chargeable gantries at the selected travelling time.
You find these applicable charges:
- ERP charge 1: S$2.00
- ERP charge 2: S$1.00
- ERP charge 3: S$3.00
- ERP charge 4: Left empty
The calculation is:
S$2.00 + S$1.00 + S$3.00 = S$6.00
The result would show:
Estimated total ERP charge: S$6.00
Charged gantries entered: 3
These figures are only an example. Enter the actual current rates for your route and vehicle.
Why Vehicle Type and Travel Time Matter
The same gantry may not charge every vehicle the same amount.
Rates can vary according to vehicle category. You should select the vehicle type that matches the vehicle being driven and use the corresponding official rate.
The time at which you pass a gantry also matters. Passing shortly before or after a charging period can produce a different charge.
Plan using the expected gantry-passing time rather than only your departure time. Traffic delays can affect when your vehicle reaches the gantry.
Does the Calculator Find Gantries Automatically?
No. The calculator only totals the ERP amounts you enter.
Use your planned route to identify the relevant roads and gantries. The Distance Calculator Singapore can provide a separate distance estimate, but road distance alone cannot determine the ERP charge.
Two routes of similar length may pass different gantries. One route may have no ERP charge, while another may cross several chargeable points.
Comparing ERP With Other Travel Options
ERP is only one part of the cost of driving. Fuel, parking, maintenance and vehicle ownership costs are calculated separately.
For regular vehicle expenses, the Road Tax Calculator Singapore can help estimate road tax. Road tax is not included in an ERP result.
If you are deciding whether to drive or book a ride, compare the journey with the Grab Fare Calculator Singapore. A Grab estimate may change because of demand, traffic, tolls and booking conditions.
You can also compare driving with public transport. The Singapore Transport Fare Calculator covers eligible public transport journeys, while the Singapore Bus Fare Calculator provides a more focused bus-fare estimate.
These tools are available with other Singapore-focused calculators on Calculator Singapores.
ERP 2.0 and Distance-Based Charging
ERP 2.0 uses a satellite-based On-Board Unit system, but this does not mean drivers are currently charged according to every kilometre travelled.
LTA states that the existing point-based congestion-pricing framework continues during the transition. Charges are still applied at the relevant physical ERP points.
LTA also states that there are no immediate plans to introduce distance-based road pricing. Therefore, do not multiply your journey distance by an ERP rate.
The calculator correctly works by adding applicable gantry charges rather than calculating a per-kilometre fee.
Why Your Final ERP Charge May Differ
The actual amount charged may differ from your estimate if:
- You entered an outdated rate.
- Your vehicle passed the gantry in a different time period.
- You selected the wrong vehicle category.
- The journey used a different route.
- You missed a chargeable gantry when planning.
- LTA revised the rate before your journey.
- The calculator entry contained an incorrect amount.
Treat the result as a planning estimate. Your official ERP transaction record determines the actual charge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What information do I need to use the ERP calculator?
A: You need your vehicle type and the current ERP charge for every applicable gantry on your planned route.
Q2: Does the calculator automatically find my route?
A: No. It does not use starting and destination points. You must identify the gantries and enter their current charges.
Q3: Can I enter more than one ERP gantry?
A: Yes. The calculator accepts charges for up to four gantries and adds them together.
Q4: What should I enter when my route has fewer than four charged gantries?
A: Enter only the applicable charges and leave the remaining optional fields empty.
Q5: Are ERP charges applied on Sundays and public holidays?
A: OneMotoring states that ERP charges do not apply on Sundays and public holidays. ERP also stops at 1 pm on the eves of New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Puasa, Deepavali and Christmas Day. Confirm the latest operating information through the official OneMotoring traffic.smart page.
Q6: Does ERP 2.0 charge according to distance travelled?
A: Not currently. LTA says the existing point-based pricing arrangement continues and there are no immediate plans for distance-based road pricing.
Q7: Does the result include parking, fuel or road tax?
A: No. The result includes only the ERP charges entered into the calculator.
Q8: Is the calculated ERP total guaranteed?
A: No. It is an estimate. Actual charges depend on the official rate, vehicle type, gantry and exact passing time.
