Cpf Calculator

Select the CPF age band applicable for the wage month. A new age-band rate generally applies from the first day of the month after the month of the employee’s 55th, 60th, 65th or 70th birthday.

2026 OW subject to CPF is capped at S$8,000 for the month.

For an exact AW result, the annual AW ceiling must also be considered: S$102,000 minus total OW subject to CPF for the year. This monthly estimator assumes the AW entered is still within your available annual AW ceiling.

Want to estimate how much CPF may come from your monthly wages?

This CPF Calculator Singapore estimates employee and employer contributions using the selected age band, Ordinary Wages and Additional Wages entered. It can help you understand the difference between gross salary, employee deductions and total CPF contributions.

The result is an estimate. Actual contributions depend on CPF Board rules, wage classification and your citizenship or Singapore Permanent Resident status.

Before You Start

Prepare these three details:

  • the applicable CPF age band;
  • Ordinary Wages for the month; and
  • Additional Wages paid during the month, if any.

Enter 0 for Additional Wages if you did not receive a bonus or another applicable payment.

If you first need a general earnings estimate, use the Salary Calculator Singapore.

Using the CPF Calculator

Select the CPF age band that applies to the wage month. A new age-band rate generally applies from the first day of the month after the month of the employee’s 55th, 60th, 65th or 70th birthday.

Next, enter your Ordinary Wages for the month. Add any Additional Wages requested by the calculator.

Select Calculate CPF to view the estimate. Use Reset to clear the information and start again.

Check the result against your payslip and CPF transaction records.

Ordinary Wages Explained

Ordinary Wages are wages due or granted wholly and exclusively for your employment in a particular month.

Monthly salary is a common example. Certain payments connected to that month may also be treated as Ordinary Wages.

Overtime pay can affect wages subject to CPF. Estimate overtime separately with the Overtime Calculator Singapore before checking the employer’s final payroll figures.

For 2026, the monthly Ordinary Wage ceiling subject to CPF is $8,000.

If monthly Ordinary Wages exceed this ceiling, CPF is generally calculated only up to the applicable ceiling.

What Are Additional Wages?

Additional Wages are payments that are not granted wholly and exclusively for one particular month.

An annual bonus is a common example.

The Additional Wage ceiling is generally calculated as:

$102,000 − total Ordinary Wages subject to CPF for the year

This means an exact Additional Wage calculation requires the employee’s CPF-applicable Ordinary Wages for the entire year.

The monthly calculator can only estimate Additional Wage contributions using the information entered. It cannot know earlier wages paid by another employer or information not provided.

Simple CPF Calculation Example

Assume an employee:

  • is 35 years old;
  • is a Singapore Citizen or subject to full CPF rates;
  • earns $5,000 in Ordinary Wages; and
  • receives no Additional Wages that month.

Using the standard full rates for an employee aged 55 or below:

  • Employee share at 20%: $1,000
  • Employer share at 17%: $850
  • Total estimated CPF contribution: $1,850

The employee’s estimated salary after the employee CPF share would be $4,000 before any other deductions.

This is a simple example. Different age groups and Singapore Permanent Resident contribution stages can produce different results.

CPF Rates Depend on Age

CPF contribution rates are not the same for every employee.

The applicable rate depends on the employee’s age. Rates generally change after ages 55, 60, 65 and 70.

Always enter the correct age. Even a small age-input error can place the employee in the wrong contribution group.

Special Note for Singapore Permanent Residents

Singapore Permanent Residents may have graduated CPF contribution rates during their first and second years of permanent residency.

An estimator without a PR-year selection may not calculate these graduated rates correctly. Employers and employees may also apply for different permitted contribution arrangements.

If you are a first- or second-year Permanent Resident, confirm the amount using CPF Board’s official tools.

CPF and an Incomplete Salary Month

Starting or leaving a job during the month can reduce the wages used for CPF.

Calculate the applicable incomplete-month pay first with the Prorated Salary Calculator Singapore. Then use the relevant wage figure for your CPF estimate.

If employment is ending, the Notice Period Calculator Singapore may help you establish the estimated final working date before reviewing the final salary.

Does Paid Leave Affect CPF?

Salary paid during approved annual leave is generally part of the employee’s wages.

Unpaid leave may reduce monthly wages and therefore affect CPF contributions. Do not treat paid and unpaid leave as the same.

The Annual Leave Calculator Singapore can help you review estimated leave entitlement separately.

Why Can the Actual Contribution Differ?

The amount shown by the calculator may differ because of:

  • graduated Permanent Resident rates;
  • an incorrect age;
  • previous Additional Wages paid during the year;
  • the annual Additional Wage ceiling;
  • incorrect wage classification;
  • CPF rounding rules; or
  • wage information not entered in the calculator.

Use the result for planning, not as a replacement for an official CPF record.
