Selecting a Casio model only labels your estimate. The tool does not automatically load a price for that model. It does not track live prices, seller stock, promotions or warranty terms.

  1. Select the Casio model you want to label.
  2. Enter the current seller price for one calculator.
  3. Enter the quantity you want to buy.
  4. Add the discount percentage, if applicable.
  5. Confirm whether the seller price already includes GST.

What Information Does the Calculator Need?

Casio model

Select the model you are checking. This selection is used to identify the estimate only.

Choosing a model does not automatically insert its market price. You must enter the actual price found at a Singapore shop or online seller.

Seller price per calculator

Enter the seller’s displayed price for one calculator in Singapore dollars.

Check whether the price:

  • Applies to the exact model
  • Includes GST
  • Requires a membership
  • Is part of a promotion
  • Includes delivery
  • Includes a local warranty
  • Is for a new or used calculator

Quantity

Enter the number of calculators you want to purchase. Quantity is useful for parents, students, tutors, schools or offices comparing the total cost of several units.

Discount

Enter the discount as a percentage. If there is no discount, leave the value at zero.

A seller may place limits or conditions on a promotion. Confirm that the discount applies to the chosen model and quantity.

GST option

Keep the GST checkbox selected when the entered seller price already includes GST. This is common for prices displayed to consumers by GST-registered Singapore businesses.

Clear the checkbox only when the seller has clearly stated that the entered price excludes GST. The calculator will then add GST to the discounted amount.

Casio Calculator Price Formula

The calculator first finds the subtotal:

Subtotal = Seller price × Quantity

It then calculates the discount:

Discount amount = Subtotal × Discount percentage ÷ 100

The amount after discount is:

Discounted amount = Subtotal − Discount amount

If the entered price excludes GST, the calculator applies the current 9% GST rate:

GST = Discounted amount × 9%

The estimated final price is:

Final price = Discounted amount + GST

When the entered price already includes GST, the calculator does not add GST again.

Example Calculation

Suppose a calculator costs S$45 and you want to buy two units with a 10% discount.

Subtotal

S$45 × 2 = S$90

Discount

S$90 × 10% = S$9

Amount after discount

S$90 − S$9 = S$81

If the S$45 seller price already includes GST, the estimated final amount remains S$81.

If the price excludes GST, the calculator adds 9% GST:

S$81 × 9% = S$7.29

Estimated final amount

S$81 + S$7.29 = S$88.29

Actual billing and rounding may depend on the seller’s checkout system and promotion rules.

Does the Displayed Seller Price Include GST?

Singapore’s current GST rate is 9%. GST-registered businesses generally must display GST-inclusive prices to the public.

This means the amount shown on a normal consumer-facing price tag or product page should usually be the final price, subject to stated delivery fees or other separate charges.

Confirm the price details before changing the GST checkbox. You can read the current rules on the official IRAS price-display page.

Why Do Casio Calculator Prices Vary?

The same calculator model may have different prices because of:

  • Seller promotions
  • School-season demand
  • Model availability
  • Local or overseas stock
  • Warranty coverage
  • Delivery charges
  • Bulk-purchase offers
  • Membership discounts
  • Product condition
  • Included accessories

A lower price is not always the best deal. Check the seller, warranty, authenticity, return terms and delivery cost before purchasing.

The calculator does not verify whether a product or seller is genuine.

Choosing a Calculator for School or Examinations

Do not choose a calculator based only on price. Check the features required for your course and confirm the rules set by your school or examination authority.

Some examinations allow only specific calculator models. Internet access and online calculator tools may also be prohibited.

Before buying:

  • Confirm the exact model number
  • Check the examination rules
  • Compare the required functions
  • Review the warranty
  • Check the return policy
  • Confirm whether batteries or accessories are included

Use a physical model that meets the relevant official requirements when taking an examination.

Planning the Purchase Cost

Calculator cost may be part of a wider school or household budget. You can browse the All Calculators directory for other planning tools.

For household utility planning, the Singapore Electricity Calculator provides a separate estimate based on electricity usage and tariff information.
