Use the recorded Singapore clock time. Some BaZi schools adjust to true solar time; this calculator does not make that location-based correction.
BaZi practice is not uniform around the 23:00–00:59 Zi-hour boundary. Choose the convention you want to use.

BaZi Calculator Singapore
The BaZi Calculator Singapore creates a traditional Four Pillars chart from your birth date and birth time. BaZi is also known as the Eight Characters system.
Enter your recorded birth details to view the year, month, day and hour pillars. Each pillar contains two Chinese characters connected to the traditional Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches system.
This calculator is provided for cultural, educational and entertainment purposes. It cannot predict your future or guarantee that a life event will happen.
How to Use the BaZi Calculator
Follow these simple steps:
- Enter your date of birth.
- Enter your recorded birth time.
- Choose a day-pillar rollover convention.
- Select Calculate Four Pillars.
- Review the chart displayed in the result section.
The calculator uses Singapore Standard Time, which is UTC+8. Enter the clock time recorded for your birth in Singapore.
If you do not know your exact birth time, the hour pillar may not be accurate. You can still explore the calculator, but you should treat the result carefully.
What Are the Four Pillars of BaZi?
BaZi uses four pairs of Chinese characters. The pairs are called pillars:
- Year pillar
- Month pillar
- Day pillar
- Hour pillar
Each pillar contains one Heavenly Stem and one Earthly Branch. Together, the four pairs form Eight Characters, which is why BaZi is sometimes called the Eight Characters system.
Traditional BaZi practice may also connect these characters with the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
Different BaZi schools may interpret a chart differently. This calculator only generates a basic chart using its programmed method. It does not provide professional advice or a complete personal reading.
For a historical Singapore example, the National Heritage Board has information about a traditional Chinese Eight Characters fortune chart held by the National Museum of Singapore.
Birth Time and Singapore Time
Use the birth time written on your official or family record whenever possible. The calculator expects Singapore clock time in UTC+8.
Some traditional BaZi methods adjust birth time using location-based solar time. This calculator does not make that adjustment. It uses the date and clock time you enter.
This means a chart created by this calculator may differ from one prepared using another BaZi method.
Birth information is unrelated to immigration eligibility. Anyone researching residency matters should use the separate Singapore PR Points Calculator, which explains published PR application factors without claiming to predict approval.
What Is the Day-Pillar Rollover Convention?
BaZi practice is not uniform around the late-night Zi-hour period. Some methods treat the day as changing at midnight, while others use a different convention around 11:00 PM.
The calculator allows you to choose a day-pillar rollover convention before generating the chart. Select the method you want to explore.
If your birth time is close to the late-night boundary, changing this option may produce a different day or hour pillar. This does not mean one result is guaranteed to be correct. It reflects differences between traditional calculation methods.
How to Understand Your Result
Your result shows the Four Pillars generated from the information and convention you selected. It should be read as a traditional cultural chart, not a scientific assessment.
The result does not determine your:
- Personality
- Health
- Career
- Relationships
- Financial future
- Compatibility
- Luck or life outcome
Do not make an important medical, financial, legal or personal decision based only on a BaZi result.
For practical household planning, use tools based on measurable information. For example, the Singapore Electricity Calculator estimates electricity costs from usage and tariff information rather than birth details.
Why Can BaZi Results Differ?
Two BaZi calculators may produce different results even when you enter the same birth details. Possible reasons include:
- Different day-pillar rollover rules
- Different calendar-conversion methods
- Use or non-use of true solar time
- Different treatment of late-night birth times
- Incorrect or incomplete birth information
- Differences between traditional BaZi schools
Check your birth date, time and selected rollover option if the result is unexpected. You can also reset the calculator and enter the details again.
Privacy and Personal Information
The calculator needs birth information to create the chart. Avoid entering another person’s birth details without their permission.
Do not add names, identification numbers, addresses or other sensitive information. The calculator does not need these details to generate the Four Pillars.
You can browse the All Calculators page to find other tools that use different types of information.
