Singapore Airlines Miles Calculator

Enter the actual miles travelled for one flight sector. Singapore Airlines awards KrisFlyer miles as a percentage of actual miles travelled, based on eligible booking class.

Use 100% for a normal cash ticket. If the ticket was paid partly with KrisFlyer miles, current terms award miles in proportion to the eligible cash-paid portion. Taxes and other excluded components are not part of this simple estimate.

What Is a Singapore Airlines Miles Calculator?

A Singapore Airlines Miles Calculator estimates how many KrisFlyer miles you may earn from an eligible Singapore Airlines flight.

The estimate is based on four details:

  • Actual one-way flight distance
  • Singapore Airlines booking class
  • One-way or round-trip travel
  • Percentage of the ticket paid in cash

This is useful when comparing booking classes or checking the possible miles from an upcoming flight. It estimates flight-earned KrisFlyer miles—not the miles required to redeem an award ticket.

How to Use the Calculator

Enter the actual one-way flight distance in miles.

Next, select the booking class shown on your ticket or booking confirmation. Choose whether the journey is one-way or round-trip.

Finally, enter the cash-paid portion of the ticket:

  • Enter 100% if the eligible ticket was paid fully in cash.
  • Enter a lower percentage if KrisFlyer miles were used to pay for part of the ticket.
  • Enter 0% if the ticket was paid entirely with miles.

Select Calculate KrisFlyer Miles to see the estimate. Use Reset before checking another flight.

How the Estimate Is Calculated

The calculator uses this general method:

Estimated KrisFlyer miles = One-way flight distance × booking-class earning rate × trip multiplier × cash-paid percentage

A round trip normally counts the entered distance twice because the calculator asks for the distance of one flight sector.

The booking-class earning rate can increase or reduce the result. Two passengers travelling in the same cabin may earn different amounts if their booking-class letters are different.

Example KrisFlyer Miles Calculation

Suppose a flight has these details:

  • One-way flight distance: 1,000 miles
  • Selected booking-class earning rate: 100%
  • Trip type: Round-trip
  • Cash-paid portion: 100%

The estimated calculation is:

1,000 × 100% × 2 × 100% = 2,000 KrisFlyer miles

If only 50% of the eligible ticket was paid in cash, the estimated miles would be:

1,000 × 100% × 2 × 50% = 1,000 KrisFlyer miles

This is an illustration. Your actual miles depend on the eligible booking class, operating airline and current KrisFlyer rules.

Why Your Booking Class Matters

Cabin class and booking class are not always the same thing.

For example, two Economy Class tickets may use different booking letters and earn KrisFlyer miles at different rates. Promotional or discounted fares may also have a different earning rate from flexible fares.

Check the booking-class letter on your ticket before using the calculator. Singapore Airlines publishes the applicable percentages on its official KrisFlyer miles earning chart.

A cabin name alone may not be enough to select the correct option.

What Does Cash-Paid Portion Mean?

The cash-paid portion is the eligible percentage of a ticket paid using a credit or debit card instead of KrisFlyer miles.

When a ticket is purchased using a combination of money and KrisFlyer miles, the miles earned may be proportional to the eligible cash-paid amount. Taxes and certain excluded charges do not count towards this proportion.

Singapore Airlines explains these conditions in its official Mix KrisFlyer miles and cash guidance.

Flight Miles and Credit Card Miles Are Different

This calculator estimates miles earned from flying on an eligible ticket.

Miles earned from card spending are calculated differently. They depend on eligible spending, the card’s earn rate, spending category, exclusions and any promotional bonus.

Use the Credit Card Miles Calculator Singapore when you want to estimate miles from card spending instead of a flight.

Keeping the two calculations separate prevents flight distance from being confused with credit card expenditure.

Why the Actual Miles May Be Different

Your final credited miles may differ from the estimate because of:

  • An incorrect flight distance
  • A different booking-class letter
  • An ineligible fare
  • A codeshare or partner-operated flight
  • Changes to the itinerary
  • A partly miles-paid ticket
  • Programme exclusions or rounding rules
  • Changes to KrisFlyer earning rates

The calculator also does not determine Elite miles, PPS Value, bonus promotions or award-redemption requirements unless expressly stated.

Check the miles credited to your KrisFlyer account after completing the flight. If they appear incorrect, keep your ticket and boarding pass when contacting Singapore Airlines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Does this calculator show the miles needed for a reward flight?

A: No. It estimates KrisFlyer miles that may be earned from an eligible paid flight. Award-redemption requirements use separate redemption charts and rules.

Q2: Where can I find my Singapore Airlines booking class?

A: Look for a booking-class or fare-class letter on your e-ticket, booking confirmation or itinerary. Do not rely only on the cabin name.

Q3: Should I enter the distance for the complete round trip?

A: No. Enter the actual one-way flight distance and select Round-trip as the trip type. The calculator will apply the appropriate trip multiplier.

Q4: What should I enter for a normal cash ticket?

A: Enter 100% when the eligible ticket is fully cash-paid. Taxes and excluded charges may still be treated differently under KrisFlyer rules.

Q5: Do I earn miles when the entire ticket is paid with KrisFlyer miles?

A: A fully miles-paid redemption ticket generally does not earn KrisFlyer miles from the flight. Confirm the conditions applicable to your booking through Singapore Airlines.

Q6: Can I use the calculator for a codeshare flight?

A: Use caution. Mileage eligibility can depend on the ticketed flight number, operating airline, booking class and partner agreement. Review the applicable airline rules before relying on the result.

Q7: Are KrisFlyer miles, Elite miles and PPS Value the same?

A: No. They serve different purposes within the KrisFlyer and PPS Club programmes. This calculator estimates KrisFlyer miles only.

Q8: Is the calculated mileage guaranteed?

A: No. It is an estimate based on the information entered. Singapore Airlines determines the final number of miles credited to your account.
