Casio Scientific Calculator Singapore

Use this Casio-style scientific calculator for everyday maths, school practice and general calculations. It includes basic arithmetic, powers, roots, logarithms, trigonometric functions, factorials, memory buttons and calculation history.

The calculator works directly in your browser. You do not need to install an app or create an account.

This is an independent general-purpose calculator. It is not an official Casio product, emulator or replacement for a physical Casio calculator.

How to Use the Scientific Calculator

Select the number and function buttons in the same order as your calculation. Your input and result appear in the display area.

For a basic calculation:

  1. Enter the first number.
  2. Select an operation such as +, , × or ÷.
  3. Enter the second number.
  4. Select = to view the answer.

Use the backspace button to remove the most recent entry. Select C to clear the current calculation or Reset Calculator to return the full calculator to its starting state.

If you only need simple arithmetic without scientific functions, you can also use the Online Calculator.

Available Calculator Functions

The calculator shown on this page includes the following functions:

  • Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Percentage
  • Square and square root
  • Reciprocal
  • Factorial
  • General powers
  • Common logarithm
  • Natural logarithm
  • Sine, cosine and tangent
  • Pi
  • Positive and negative numbers
  • Brackets
  • Exponential functions
  • Previous answer
  • Memory controls
  • Calculation history

The exact functions and button behaviour may differ from a physical Casio model. This online tool does not include every feature found on advanced scientific, programmable or graphing calculators.

Powers, Roots and Reciprocals

Use to square a number. For example:

5² = 25

Use to find the square root of a suitable number:

√81 = 9

The 1/x button finds the reciprocal of a non-zero number:

1/4 = 0.25

Use the general power button when raising a number to another power. Brackets can help control the order of a longer calculation.

Logarithms and Exponential Functions

The log button calculates the common logarithm, which uses base 10. The ln button calculates the natural logarithm.

The calculator also includes exponential functions such as and 10ˣ.

Logarithms have input limits. For real-number calculations, the input to log or ln must be greater than zero. An invalid input may produce an error or an undefined result.

Trigonometric Calculations

Use the sin, cos and tan buttons for trigonometric calculations. The calculator display shows DEG, meaning angles are handled in degrees in the visible mode.

For example:

sin(30°) = 0.5

Check the angle mode before using a trigonometric result. A calculation entered in degrees can produce a different answer from the same number interpreted in radians.

Do not assume that this online calculator follows the exact key sequence or display rules of a particular Casio model.

Factorial and Negative Numbers

The x! button calculates a factorial. A factorial is normally used with a non-negative whole number.

For example:

5! = 5 × 4 × 3 × 2 × 1 = 120

Use the ± button to change a positive number to a negative number or a negative number to a positive number.

Factorials can become very large quickly. Invalid or extremely large inputs may not produce a usable result.

How the Memory Buttons Work

The calculator has four memory controls:

  • MC: Clears the stored memory
  • MR: Recalls the stored number
  • M+: Adds the displayed value to memory
  • M−: Subtracts the displayed value from memory

The memory indicator shows the currently stored value. Memory is useful when the same number is needed in several steps.

The Ans button recalls the previous result so you can use it in the next calculation without entering the number again.

Calculation History

The history area displays earlier calculations from your current use of the calculator. This can help you review recent steps or find an entry mistake.

Do not treat browser history as a permanent calculation record. Save important results separately and verify them before using them in school, engineering, financial or professional work.

Online Calculator or Physical Casio Calculator?

This online calculator is useful when you need quick access from a phone, tablet or computer. A physical scientific calculator may be better when:

  • Your school or examination has specific calculator rules
  • You need a particular approved model
  • You require fraction, equation or statistics modes
  • You need matrix, vector or complex-number functions
  • Internet access is unavailable
  • You want physical keys and a familiar layout

Before buying a device, compare models and features using the Casio Calculator Singapore Price page.

For official products, model specifications and support information, visit the Casio Singapore scientific calculators page.

Check Important Calculations

This tool is suitable for general calculations and practice, but input mistakes can still lead to incorrect answers.

Check:

  • The numbers you entered
  • The selected operation
  • The placement of brackets
  • The angle mode
  • Decimal points
  • Negative signs
  • The order of operations

Verify high-stakes academic, engineering, financial or professional calculations using an approved method or a suitable physical calculator.

A scientific calculator can also support practical household maths. For example, you can check parts of an energy calculation before using the Singapore Electricity Calculator for a dedicated electricity-cost estimate.

Other Singapore Tools

Calculator results do not determine immigration eligibility or approval. For separate residency information, the Singapore PR Points Calculator explains published PR application factors without claiming to provide an official score.

Browse the All Calculators directory to find more tools by topic, or visit the Calculator Singapores homepage for popular calculators and category links.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an official Casio calculator?

No. It is an independent online scientific calculator and is not an official Casio product or emulator.

Can I use it for schoolwork?

You can use it for general practice and homework calculations. Confirm whether your teacher or school requires a particular calculator model.

Can I use it during an examination?

Do not assume that it is allowed. Examinations may restrict internet access and require approved physical calculator models. Check the official examination rules.

Does the calculator have memory?

Yes. It includes MC, MR, M+ and M− controls, along with an Ans button for the previous result.

What does DEG mean?

DEG means the visible trigonometric mode uses degrees. Check the mode before calculating sine, cosine or tangent.

Why does a calculation show an error?

The expression may be incomplete or mathematically invalid. Check brackets, decimal points, division by zero, logarithm inputs and factorial inputs.

Does it include graphing functions?

No graphing feature is shown in this calculator. Use a suitable graphing calculator when graphs or advanced functions are required.

Are the results guaranteed?

No. Results depend on valid inputs and correct use. Verify important answers independently.
