Enter the fare distance for the bus journey. This calculator does not guess distance from bus-stop names.
Feeder-service fares are capped at the 3.2 km fare band.
Student and senior Express calculations use the published concession card fare.

Unsure how much your next bus journey may cost?
The Singapore Bus Fare Calculator uses fare distance, passenger type, bus service and payment method to provide a quick fare estimate.
It uses PTC fares effective from 27 December 2025. Your final charge can still change because of transfers, concession eligibility or the journey recorded by the fare system.
Find the Correct Fare Distance
Enter the fare distance travelled by the bus—not the straight-line distance between two locations.
This calculator does not identify a journey from bus-stop names. You need to supply the distance in kilometres.
The Distance Calculator Singapore can provide a rough distance check, but an official journey planner is better for finding the actual route distance.
Four Details You Need
Before calculating, check:
- fare distance in kilometres;
- passenger type;
- bus service type; and
- card or cash payment.
Enter the information, then select Calculate Fare.
Use Reset before checking a different journey.
Basic, Feeder and Express Bus Services
Choose the service that matches the bus you plan to take.
A basic trunk service connects areas across a longer route. A feeder service usually operates within a neighbourhood and connects passengers to transport hubs.
The calculator caps feeder-service calculations at the 3.2 km fare band.
Express services can use a different published fare structure. Selecting a basic service for an express journey may produce the wrong estimate.
Card Fare or Cash Fare?
Card and account-based ticketing fares can differ from cash fares.
Select card payment when using a supported bank card, travel card or mobile-wallet option through account-based ticketing.
Select cash only when you plan to pay a published cash fare on the bus. Prepare the required amount because change may not be provided.
Remember to tap when boarding and leaving the bus. A missing entry or exit can affect the charged amount.
Adult and Concession Passengers
The selected passenger category must match the card being used.
Students, seniors and other eligible passengers may receive concession fares. Selecting a concession option does not prove that the passenger qualifies.
Check the card’s validity and concession conditions before relying on the result.
What If the Journey Includes MRT?
A bus-only calculation may not show the complete cost of a journey involving both bus and rail.
For a mixed journey, try the Singapore Transport Fare Calculator using the total eligible fare distance.
If you only need the train portion, the Singapore MRT Fare Calculator provides a more focused rail estimate.
Our Singapore calculator collection also includes tools for comparing other everyday travel costs.
Bus Fare or Direct Ride?
A bus is often the lower-cost choice, but a direct ride may save time or reduce transfers.
Use the Grab Fare Calculator Singapore to compare an estimated private-hire fare. Grab pricing is not distance-fare pricing and can change with demand.
Compare cost, travel time, waiting time and the number of transfers before choosing.
Why the Actual Bus Fare May Differ
A different amount may be charged because of:
- incorrect fare distance;
- the wrong service selection;
- expired or ineligible concession status;
- card instead of cash payment;
- an ineligible transfer;
- a missed tap; or
- a fare revision after the calculator was updated.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Does the calculator find the distance from bus-stop names?
A: No. Enter the bus journey’s fare distance in kilometres.
Q2: Is fare distance the same as straight-line distance?
A: No. Fare distance follows the travelled route and can be longer than the direct distance between two points.
Q3: Why is a feeder service capped at 3.2 km?
A: The calculator applies the feeder-service fare band shown in its current settings. Confirm that you selected the correct service type.
Q4: Are card and cash bus fares the same?
A: Not always. Choose the payment method you will actually use.
Q5: Can anyone select a student or senior fare?
A: No. A passenger must meet the eligibility conditions and use a valid concession card.
Q6: Does the result include eligible transfers?
A: The estimate may not reproduce every real tap and transfer event. A transfer that fails the applicable conditions can be charged as a new journey.
Q7: Where can I check the latest official bus fares?
A: Compare the calculator with the Public Transport Council’s bus and rail fare structure, especially after a fare revision.
Q8: Is the calculated fare guaranteed?
A: No. It is a planning estimate based on the entered distance and selected options. The transport system’s recorded journey determines the actual charge.
